This trap is made to be set and then buried so the
top (the round part) is flush with the ground. Drop
a  tasty morsel (marshmallows work well) down in
the hole and soon a raccoon or other hungry
animal will reach down into the trap to retrieve it
and find himself  unable to escape.
The standard “jaw” style of trap is always popular.
In varying strengths and sizes, these traps can be
used to trap anything, from beavers and muskrat
to bears and mountain lions.
